Tell me I'm not sleepy

"Darlin', you are so sleepy", while rubbing Jack's head as he was in bed. His eyes were baggy and heavy and purple.

"Mama, sing to me because I love you."

"No, baby, you are so tired. Just close your eyes and go to sleep."

"Mama, hold my hand cuz I love you."

"Ok, baby, shhhh."

"Mama?"

"What, love?"

"Tell me I'm not sleepy because I love you."

"You aren't sleepy, Jack. I love you, buddy."

Eyes closed. Sound asleep.
