Our babysitter

Our most recent regular babysitter spent Christmas Day with us. We loved having her here! The boys absolutely love her. We played with the boys' new toys, ate yummy family recipes, and celebrated Jesus's birthday. I rejoiced in knowing Dad's first Christmas as a believer was with Jesus.

Today, we were in my bedroom as I was doing laundry, and Jack wanted to show me the new game Ms. Candace taught him. I had Charlie on my hip and was half-listening because the list in my head had me spinning. In my periphery, I noticed Jack standing with his heels against our footboard and leaning straight back like he was free-falling. And then HE DID. He went splat right on his back, knocking the breath out of him and causing my jaw to drop to the floor. Then he got up and said, "you were supposed to catch me!" And we both laughed so hard we were crying for 5 solid minutes. Then I explained to him that he should make sure the person playing the game with him tells him they're ready to catch him.

That makes both of our kids having fallen off our bed this year. Hopefully this one won't be headed to the ER with a fractured skull and brain bleed. We should've gotten them helmets and padding for Christmas.
