Charlie had an MRI done around 8:00 this morning. The neurosurgeon said that there is blood in the ventricles and the superficial right hemisphere but no enlargement or midline shift. From a surgical standpoint, he was free to go. The developmental part will be monitored with our pediatrician. The basal ganglia does affect eye movement, and since his eyes are functioning perfectly, they suspect that the other components should be fine as well. We will follow with the neurosurgeon in a month for imaging.
So now we're home. And since I only slept a few hours last night I'm going to nap. I'm hoping my exhausted baby does, too. Travis is rocking him.
Thank you for prayers and messages!
