We're moving

On January 3rd, we will be leaving Clinton and moving to Chicago. Yes, Chicago. The Windy City. Eeeeeek! Travis will be working for Northwestern University's Emergency Medicine Department. It is a really great opportunity for him. We are feeling an array of emotions, mostly related to what we have to leave and say goodbye to in Mississippi. Sam and her family. Our close-as-family community of friends. My wonderful job and coworkers. The boys' school. Our church. Our comfort zones. The list goes on.

But we also feel a sense of excitement over what's ahead. The adventure we're about to have. The great, fun memories we'll make with our boys. We are beyond thrilled that we have best of friends in Chicago. David, Liz, and Theo. They are part of that close-as-family community of friends, so that brings a huge sense of relief and excitement, too. They know the ropes. We have a blast together. We've enjoyed Chicago with them when we visited them. Now we get to live it together. I can't quite put into words the peace that offers.

So this next month will be super busy with Christmas, work, tying up loose ends, and packing for Chicago. At some point, I will be going to Chicago to interview for a job and look for a place for us to live. Our biggest hope is that we can share Jesus and be right in the middle of God's plan for us. Here we go! Wish us luck!
