Pumpkin Patch

I forgot to write about Jack's field trip to the pumpkin patch! This was a fun trip. We left early Wednesday the 17th and headed to Nichols Boyd past the reservoir. The drive over was so pretty. When we got there, each class took a picture. Then we looked at some small animals. Jack was fascinated by the rabbits and chickens. After that, we all loaded up on the trailer for the hayride. We saw cows, catfish, a goat, and some other animals I can't remember at this point. Then we got out to the pumpkin patch. Each child picked his or her pumpkin. Jack said he wanted a little one so it wouldn't be too heavy. Smart thinking. So he picked out a great little pumpkin and put it in a bag to take back to school. Then the kids all played in a hay maze and swung on rope swings. It was great. Then we loaded up and rode back to the front of the farm to have snacks.

I signed Jack out so he could ride with me. Jack was asleep in about two seconds in the car. We made the trek back across the reservoir. Just the two of us went for a date and ate Mexican. We picked Charlie up from school and had a great afternoon at home.
