Yesterday, we took Jack to the church nursery. We were told he was an angel... so sweet. We were able to go to big church for the first time in a long time, and we really enjoyed our new normal. We love being able to go to church as a family. Yay!

On Friday, we took Jack for his 8 week check-up with Dr. Stewart. He weighs 12 pounds 7 ounces (HOLY COW!) and is 22 1/2 inches long! Growing like a weed! He had to get 3 shots for immunizations and was given one immunization by mouth. He still looked jaundiced, so they had to check his bilirubin. Unlike his newborn days, when a heelstick was sufficient to get the needed labwork, this time poor Jack had to get stuck with a needle. I have a new understanding of what our poor NICU mamas have to go through... only scratching the surface, but it made my heart break to see Jack hurt like that.
As soon as they were done, I scooped him up, and bless his heart, he went limp in my arms... legs
and arms just dangling. He had worn himself out crying so hard. Needless to say, we both slept like logs when we got home. His bilirubin is 10... down from 7 weeks ago, but still high for his age. Dr. Stewart says as long as he's alert and developmentally appropriate, they can just watch it.
Otherwise, baby Jack is looking wonderful! He is holding his head up really well, pushing up during tummy time, and last night he rolled over!!! I'm so proud of my sweet little man!
